Our Beliefs
We Believe the bible is the inspired, infallible (unadulterated) word of God, written by holy men of old, as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
We believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The God-Head
We believe in one God who is infinite in power; holy in nature, attributes and purpose, omniscient and omnipresent.
We believe that God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship him in spirit and truth. (St. John 4:24)
We believe that there is but one God, in essence and in person, from whom and in whom there is a divine threefold manifestation and relationship made known as the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. (I John 5:20)
We believe that Jesus was both human and divine; God manifest in the flesh, the Eternal Father made visible, apart from whom there is no God. (St. John 1:1-16)
We believe that in Jesus Christ dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily, for it pleased the father that in him should all the fullness dwell.
We believe that Jesus redeems mankind from sin, by coming into the world and assuming personality through the miracle and mystery of the Virgin birth. In his own body he bore our sins, and wrought redemption through his death for all mankind.
Divine Healing
We believe that divine healing is for the physical ills of the human body and is wrought by the power of God through the prayer of faith. It is provided in the atonement of Christ, and it is the privilege of each person. (James 5:14-16, 1st Peter 2:24, St. Matt. 8:17, Isa. 53:4-5)
Eternal Life and the New Birth
Man’s first step toward salvation is Godly sorrow that works repentance. The new birth is available to all mankind, and when Jesus Christ is accepted as saviour then salvation takes place, he is born again. His spirit becomes alive to God eternally. (II Cor. 7:10, John 3:3-5)
Baptism
We believe in the baptism by water, by immersion, in the name of our lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, speaking in other tongues, as the spirit gives utterance. This constitutes the new birth.
Our aim is to glorify our Saviour, who is Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
